San Ignácio Mini

Perto da Missão de Santa Ana fica a mais famosa e bem preservada Missão na Argentina: a Redução de Santo Ignácio Mini. Tem este nome pelo fato de que no mesmo dia da abertura da Redução foi inaugurada a Redução de San Ignácio Guazu. Guazu na linguagem guarani significa "grande". Para diferenciá-la se chamou San Ignácio Mini (pequena, em linguagem guarani). / Near the Mission of Santa Ana is localized the most famous Reduction in Argentina: the Reduction of Santo Ignácio Mini. It´s called Santo Ignácio Mini because in the same day was opened it was inaugurated another Mission called Santo Ignácio Guazu. Guazu in the language of guarani indian idiom means "big". So, it was called Santo Ignácio Mini (small, in guarani language).

Rio Uruguai. Infelizmente entre Porto Xavier e San Xavier na Argentina não há ponte. A travessia é de balsa, como a que vemos na foto. Do outro lado fica a Argentina, província de Missiones / Uruguai River. There´s no bridge between Porto Xavier, Brazil and San Xavier, Argentina. We should cross the river by ship, like this one on the shot. In the other side of the river it´s possible to see the Argentinean territory, Province of Missions.

Missões, a volta / Back to Missions

Voltei às Missões. Mas desta vez, visitei as Missões da Argentina, Paraguai e Brasil. A foto mostra o Rio Uruguai, divisa do Brasil com a Argentina. Tirei a foto do lado brasileiro, na cidade de Porto Xavier. Do outro lado do rio, fica a Argentina / Back to Missions. This time I visited the Missions in Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. This shot show Uruguay River, in the border of Brazil and Argentina. I took this shot in the Brazil side, in the city of Porto Xavier.
